You may have never been to Nebraska, you may not ever want to and that’s fine. You may not know anyone from Nebraska and only see us as a football team or a punchline to a joke and that’s fine too. You don’t hear about us on the news often except an occasional tornado or blizzard, also fine. When it comes to facebook we use the word “friend” very loosely! But tonight, I’m asking all my friends to pray for everyone in Nebraska. Pray for the farmer that supplies you with groceries and fuel for your vehicle. For the rancher whose livestock are starving, freezing or drowning tonight. For the average Joe who is watching the water creep closer and closer to his front door, knowing everything he’s ever worked for is about to be washed away. For the business owners who’s store front is under water. For every Nebraskan who is either effected directly or indirectly and those who are holding their breath because they don’t know where the water will go next. For every civil servant and volunteer working tirelessly to keep the electricity on, to rescue people from their homes or cars or wherever they happen to be when the water rises. We need your prayers! Nearly half our state is under water. There is already millions of dollars of damage and loss of which it will take years to overcome and rebuild. Highways and bridges and structures 100’s of years old are gone. I’m not asking you to copy and paste, or “keep it going” or any of the other stuff you’re used to seeing on FB. I’m simply asking you to, at some point in the near future, set aside a few minutes to pray for the safety of everyone in Nebraska and pray that the water recedes swiftly. Please pray for Nebraska!! Thank you in advance!! ... See more
